A BILL to amend and reenact section nine, article two, chapter
twenty-one-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to the continuation
of authority of commissioner to administer the bureau of
employment programs.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That section nine, article two, chapter twenty-one-a of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. THE COMMISSIONER OF THE BUREAU OF EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS.
§21A-2-9. Continuation of authority of commissioner to administer

unemployment compensation.

Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the commissioner shall continue to administer this
chapter article until the first day of July, two thousand two six, to allow for the completion of a preliminary performance review by
the joint committee on government operations unless the authority
to so administer is sooner terminated, continued or reestablished
pursuant to that article.
